Studying at South West TAFE is one of the easiest and most successful pathways towards a university degree - with credit transfers towards advanced standing and now access to the Deakin at Your Doorstep program at the Portland Campus.

Credit transfers toward a university degree may be granted from relevant TAFE qualifications at Advanced Diploma, Diploma or Certificate IV level. If you are granted advanced standing this will greatly reduce the number of units and time required to complete your university qualification.

Universities recognise that as a TAFE student you already have the commitment required to take on tertiary studies and that your TAFE course has given you an excellent foundation to work from.

Our short course programs also offer many opportunities to value add to your qualification with some short courses also providing credits towards a full qualification.
