    Course DescriptionProfessional artists and designers working in many media and disciplines engage with photomedia in different ways, depending on the needs of their practice. Photomedia may be used as a vehicle for the creative presentation or documentation of work, or could be a finished work in its own right, either as a whole work or part of a work. The focus of this unit is for students to use and refine their existing Photoshop knowledge in applied way, “To make the tool work for you!” in order to achieve well-developed conceptual and technical outcomes in their work.

    This is a “Studio” based unit where students focus on building on their existing Photoshop skills as they explore the potential of using Photoshop in their own creative practice. It may include still images, traditional printed or digital photographic output, or it may cross over to be combined with other software and studio techniques already used in the student’s own creative practice.

    At this level, students work independently towards individual outcomes with mentoring and guidance as required.
