    Course DescriptionComputers have revolutionalised many aspects of the workplace, and this is as true for design work as any other application. Computer Aided Design (CAD) provides the means to design and develop new designs and products more rapidly than by traditional methods. CAD enables the user to lay out and develop their work on screen, print it out and save it for future editing. This course will provide participants in the engineering trade with postapprenticeship skills in design drafting using AutoCAD 2011.
  • Welding (Level 1) (Short Course)

    Course DescriptionThis introductory course is ideal for anyone with an interest in welding who would like to learn the basics of several welding processes. It is designed to provide a fun, practical insight for the novice welder or anyone with limited experience. Participants will be shown oxy-acetylene, MIG, TIG and ARC welding methods together with appropriate safety procedures. Following completion of Welding Level 1 units, participants will be eligible to enrol for the next level of training.

    Course DescriptionThis program provides training for experienced welders which will enable candidates to meet the pre-examination requirements of the Welder Certification Code - AS1796 Certificates no’s 1-9.
