I grew up on a family cattle and cropping farm and wanted to learn more about the agriculture industry.
When I found that I could combine school and study at SWTAFE I was really excited - I’ve never looked back. I enjoy the practical and hands-on work of the course and being outdoors completing tasks with class mates who all have the
same interest in agriculture.
The VET DSS program was great for me. The teachers were supportive and the course has given me so many opportunities for the future. The skills I have learnt will
help me in whatever I do.
My future career plans are to get a diesel mechanic apprenticeship and maybe go into the mines or work on a cattle station in the Northern Territory so I can better understand the difference in agriculture across Australia.
