We come to you, and design training to suit your needs

We make it our business to help improve yours. Our training is delivered on the job and specifically designed around what your business needs. And because it’s conducted in your workplace our training has limited impact to your business productivity because it’s all hands-on, in your timeframe and is tailored to the skills needs of your staff.

You can access funding to assist in employment costs

The Australian Apprenticeships Incentives Program provides a number of incentives to assist employers who take on an Australian apprentice, particularly where the Australian apprenticeship is in a trade experiencing a skills shortage.

Depending on eligibility you may be able to claim significant funding for employing an apprentice. Check with your local apprenticeship centre to see what you are eligible for. Visit australianapprenticeships.gov.au to find out more.

We offer a range of Meat Training courses in Victoria and we offer the Certificate III in Meat Processing (Retail Butcher) to South Australian students.

Ben Thomas
Trainer

  • Over 27 years of industry experience as a butcher and trainer
  • Started his apprenticeship in Port Fairy with Shaun Murrihy, then moved to Warrnambool to complete training at Noonans Meats
  • Worked at Swintons IGA for several years, gaining supermarket experience by managing the meat department
  • Was the owner/operator of Lenards Chicken in Warrnambool for 11 years

Wayne Perry
Trainer

  • Over 23 years of industry experience as a butcher and trainer
  • Started his apprenticeship at 17 at the Mortlake Butcher shop and purchased the business at 25 and ran it for a further 4 years
  • Worked at Midfield meats in both the boning room and load out
  • Started training apprentice butchers throughout Victoria with SWTAFE in 2005
