We have developed this unique event just for you. 

    • Our dynamic guest speaker Paul Taylor (Mind Body Brain) will talk to you about how you can take charge to set a positive path to designing the future you want.
    • Explore the opportunities found in careers and sectors connected to TAFE studies.
    • Connect with industry experts in your chosen field of training and ask questions about the industries you're interested in and future jobs.
    • Find out more about how you can connect to TAFE studies while still at school. 

3 Steps to joining our Careers Info Sessions

Step 1 - Explore the careers on offer below 
Check out the different careers on offer and watch the video to get a taste of the industry.

Step 2 - Choose two sessions you would like to join
Select two areas you would like to hear more about at the two info sessions on Friday 11 September.

Step 3 - Join the Careers Info Sessions
(You will be joining two sessions: one at 12 noon and one at 12.30pm)

Have your device ready to use Webex Meetings for the info session. It’s recommended you use a laptop or PC for the info session. If you prefer to use a mobile device (mobile, iPad or tablet) you will need to download the Webex Meetings app prior to the info sessions.

Careers in Agriculture 

Do you love the outdoors, and want to be part of an industry that provides Australia with a viable, healthy, profitable, and sustainable future? Students will be learning basic livestock techniques, safe use of quad bikes, fencing repairs, chemical usage, soil testing, feeding livestock, water supplies and tractor operations.

Careers in Automotive

Do you have an interest in cars and mechanics? This course will also appeal to those seeking a sound working knowledge of basic automotive skills. People working in the trade industry are always in high demand and it's one of the biggest employment sectors in the country. The course will provide you with hands-on skills to get you job ready in your chosen area of automotive.

Careers in Building 

If you have a passion for hands-on work, like keeping fit and working both indoors and outdoors then a building trade will give you the skills to take you all over Australia. Students are introduced to occupational health and safety procedures, communication, work organisation, plan reading, equipment and tool use. Students will acquire these skills by participating in a number of building projects.

Careers in Digital Media & Technology 

Are you interested in the creative and technological side of computers? Are you open towards change and advancement in the screen and media industry. This industry appeals to gamers who want to further develop their skills in an area they are passionate about. The course has a gaming focus which will further aid study in screen and media. The course focal point will be the creative side of concept development, digital painting, video editing, 3D model making, character design, user interface design, concept art and animation.

Thinking of a career as an electrician? The VCE VET Electrical Industry Program provides students with skills and knowledge to enhance their entry level employment prospects in apprenticeships and traineeships in a range of industries.  The industry specialisations are: electrical, electronics, refrigeration and mechanical. It also provides pathways to new skills as new technologies are adopted, especially in energy efficiency and sustainability as described above.

What to expect at the Careers Info Sessions?
  • These info sessions are 100% online and held on Webex.
  • You can join them with video or audio so you can engage with the course specialist and other attendees.
  • Each session typically runs for 25-30 minutes depending on the number of courses in that study area and the number of questions asked.
  • These info sessions are fully interactive. The course specialist can answer any questions you have about the courses.
  • The sessions may have multiple attendees joining so you can also listen to other attendees questions and answers.
