Delivery: Classes will be delivered through a blended approach through a combination of remote delivery using Webex Training Centre and face-to-face classes.
This is an essential training qualification for trainers and assessors and is a requirement of the Australian Quality Training Framework Essential Standards for Registration.
The course includes formal training in a structured training environment, on-the-job instruction, conducting of workplace assessments, one-to-one training of apprentices, as well as the coaching and mentoring of staff.
Job roles associated with this qualification relate to the delivery of training and assessment of competence within the VET sector. Participants will gain the skills required to design, develop, deliver and assess training programs.
With this nationally recognised qualification, people may work as vocational training teachers, training officers, enterprise trainers, facilitators or assessors, industry assessors, training advisors or training needs analysts in Registered Training Organisations or other industry organisations.
The Government forecasts indicate that up to 25,000 job openings for vocational education teachers are expected over the next five years.
Weekly earnings are reported as well above the national average at $1,524 (full-time, before tax).
Government surveys of employers of vocational education teachers found that the vast majority of employers sought applicants with a Certificate IV in Training and
Assessment.
