Frequently asked questions

I’ve registered, what now?

You will receive a confirmation email with a link to the online event page. This page is only accessible to registered attendees. 

If you have not received this confirmation email, please check your junk mail or contact our Customer Service team.

How do I access the information session?

You will receive reminder emails in the lead up to the event. They will all contain a link to the online event page. 30 minutes prior to the event starting, the link to access the virtual info session will appear. Only the link to the study area(s) info session you registered for will appear on this page.

What do I need to know to be prepared for the info session?

Make sure you have checked that you can access the online event page prior to the info sessions by logging into your Eventbrite account or creating one. It is best if you have logged into Eventbrite with the device you will be using for the info session.

It’s recommended to use a laptop or PC for the info session. If you prefer to use a mobile device (mobile, iPad or tablet) you will need to download the Webex Meetings App prior to the info sessions.

Which session do I select?

First, select a time that suits you, then you can select the study area that you are interested in.
The course specialist hosting the session can talk to you about all the courses that are under that study area.

Where are the info sessions held?

These info sessions are 100% online and held on Webex. They can be joined through video or audio and are fully interactive.

How long do they run for?

Each session typically runs for 20-45 minutes depending on the amount of courses in that study area and the number of questions asked.

Can I talk to the course specialist and still ask questions?

These info sessions are fully interactive. The course specialist can answer any questions you have about the courses.
The sessions may have multiple attendees joining so you can also listen to other attendees questions and answers.

What if I cannot make the info session anymore?

Contact our Customer Service team, they can register you for a different session time or arrange a time for a course specialist to contact you directly.

I’m not sure what I’d like to study, can you help?

Our Careers Coaches at the Skills and Jobs Centre can help you on your way to the right career for you. Contact them on 5564 8515 or skillsandjobs@swtafe.edu.au to book a private appointment.

If you meet with them prior to the info sessions, you will still have time to register for a session that you may be interested in studying.

I’m having technical issues accessing the session, what do I do?
