Geena plans to travel with cooking qualification

I’ve always been a keen cook but I haven’t really had the opportunity to gain a qualification until now.

I was working as a food technician in the kitchen at Brauer College and when I saw this course advertised, I thought it would be perfect for me.

I’ve really loved it. It’s been so much fun and it’s been really cool to meet new people of all different ages and backgrounds who also share a love of cooking.

I particularly enjoyed the dessert units and have loved making pastries and dough from scratch.

I also enjoyed learning to use new ingredients that I had never thought of before.

Our teachers here were great and I now have the confidence to step into any kitchen to gain work.

Now that I’ve completed my course I plan on travelling and this qualification will allow me to work in any kitchen, anywhere in Australia.
