South West Healthcare is seeking additional admin staff for their mass testing clinic

/ Coronavirus Student Updates
With the rapid increase in positive COVID-19 cases across Warrnambool and the south-west region and the sudden high demand for testing, South West Healthcare (SWH) has set up a mass testing clinic at Deakin University to enable greater testing capacity.
COVID 19 Update

SWH are redeploying staff to meet the current demand, but are also seeking additional admin staffing support to service the needs of our community during this peak.

This provides a great opportunity for SWTAFE students looking for a career in the health or administration sector to get some first-hand experience while assisting the community response to the pandemic.

What your role would be

The role will be to register community members presenting at the drive-through site to be tested. Please note this is an admin role and you will not be doing the tests.

Relevant training will be provided including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which is required to be worn in all areas of testing.

Requirements for applicants

You will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Be double or triple COVID vaccinated and provide proof of this.
  • Have a tax file number and details of your superannuation fund, and supply us with your banking details.
  • Have a current police check (preferably).
  • Can easily adapt to using an IT system to register people for vaccinations (it isn’t difficult and most pick this up really quickly).
  • Will need to be aware that they will be trained in using PPE and will likely come in contact (albeit safely) with people who are displaying COVID-19 symptoms.
  • Available to work over the upcoming days and weeks potentially, including the weekend.
  • You’ll need to be fit, healthy and able to withstand long periods of time on your feet and not immunocompromised.
  • Be a positive team player and be attentive to detail.
