Diploma students from Accounting, Agronomy, Beauty Therapy, Conservation and Land Management, Early Childhood Education and Care, Remedial Massage, Travel and Tourism Management and Nursing courses all celebrated their success with family, friends and teachers.

South West TAFE CEO Mark Fidge said the graduation ceremony was a fantastic opportunity to recognise the success of our students.

He said while this year’s ceremony was different to previous years, it was still so important to recognise the students’ achievements.

“To be able to graduate in front of their family and friends is wonderful for everyone and to have completed their courses in the midst of a pandemic is an outstanding achievement,” he said.

About 50 students graduated on Tuesday with Community Services students to graduate later this year.

Mr Fidge said it was wonderful to hear so many of our graduating students now in employment or going on to further study.

“It’s great that South West TAFE can play a part in changing people’s lives and leading them on to further study or employment,” he said.

Each year South West TAFE also awards a small number of outstanding students who this year will be recognized in a virtual event in the coming weeks.

Mr Fidge said these students had excelled in their chosen fields and would now go on to represent South West TAFE at the Victorian Training Awards.
