She had always wanted to work in an office but wasn’t sure where to begin.

“I saw an advertisement for a business traineeship at Moyne Shire Council and thought it was the perfect way to start a new career,” she said.

Since completing her traineeship in the Certificate III in Business, Anja was successful in gaining a position as a support officer in Moyne Shire’s People and Culture team.

She said the training she received at South West TAFE was great and gave her all of the skills and confidence to progress in her career.

“I had never worked with computers and while I found it challenging, my teachers and colleagues assisted me every step of the way,” she said.

Anja said the traineeship was a great experience and something she would recommend to others.

“I loved every single second of it. It was an amazing way to learn new skills and transition into a new career,” she said.
