The Restricted Electrical Worker’s Licence Grade 2 (previously named the Disconnect/ Reconnect Worker’s Licence) entitles you to carry out low-voltage electrical installation work relating to fixed electrical equipment that is connected to your primary trade, vocation or occupation that would otherwise require the services of a registered electrical contractor, or a licensed electrician.
The Restricted Electrical Worker’s Licence entitles you to carry out electrical installation work involving disconnection and reconnection of equipment, such as:
On successful completion, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for this course.
Successful completion of this short course will not automatically entitle you to a Restricted Electrical Workers Licence. A licence application is required through Energy Safe Victoria and conditions apply.
Prior to booking in this course, you will need to contact Energy Safe Victoria on (03) 9203 9700 to determine your eligibility for a Restricted Electrical Worker’s Licence Grade 2.
The Restricted Electrical Workers Licence can only be issued when Energy Safe Victoria is satisfied that you require the licence as a requirement that is incidental to your trade, vocation or calling. You must be able to display competence in a relevant field to which the disconnection/reconnection work required is a significant function of your job and your trade history.

Complete a Pre-Training Review
You will receive an email to complete a Pre-Training Review online. This evaluation helps us ensure you receive any necessary support to achieve a successful outcome for your course. Failure to complete will incur a $20 administration fee for a booking cancellation or transfer.
Create or provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI)
A USI is a nationally recognised reference number that provides an online record of your training qualifications gained in Australia.

Skills recognition
If you have experience or prior qualifications, you may be eligible to apply for recognition of prior learning and gain credits. You will be asked to provide any relevant Statement of Attainment to support identified credits.
