We are looking for the next generation of leaders in our community. The SWTAFE Scholarships program creates opportunities and recognise those who have the drive, passion and commitment to achieve greatness.

2021 scholarships now open for applications

Scholarships can assist with study-related costs whether they are course fees, materials required for your course, costs associated with attending industry events or any equipment you may need for study.

We have a range of scholarships available for anyone studying with South West TAFE in 2021. Each scholarship has its own criteria and the application process can vary from one scholarship to the next.

Who can apply?

Anyone that meets the specific scholarship criteria (above) and:

  • is planning to or be enrolled in a full-time course at the South West TAFE in 2021
  • can demonstrate a strong commitment to their studies and pathway into employment
  • is an Australian Citizen or holder of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa

What can the scholarship be used for?

Our scholarships can support you with:

  • course fees
  • course consumable and material fees
  • booklist items
  • costs associated with travelling and attending industry events (eg. accommodation, travel and tickets)
  • ICT equipment (eg. Laptop, iPad to use for study)

Please note scholarships are not redeemable for cash.

How to apply?

  1. Select a scholarship, and click ‘Apply’.
  2. You will need to supply a reference contact with a short supporting statement for your application.
  3. Submit before relevant application closing date.

Our access and equity assistance aim to increase opportunities for those who demonstrate a desire to participate in education and may not be able to do so due to financial hardship.

Community Partnership Scholarships

Our Community Partnership scholarships are created through the support of our community partners. They provide financial assistance to put towards the cost of courses, along with pathways to employment, higher education opportunities and internships.

Selection for these scholarships and internships vary according to the organisation. Please apply directly through the organisation’s application process.

Headspace Warrnambool Scholarship
3 scholarships available worth a total of $3000 for students enrolling in a two-year minimum course who have experienced health disadvantages and sought help from Headspace Warrnambool to pursue their studies. Applicants must also be aged 25 years old or younger. Find out more and apply at Headspace Warrnambool.
