SWTAFE Board Observership Program

We are looking for the next generation of aspiring young leaders in the region to build governance leadership capabilities in south west Victoria.

South West TAFE, Wannon Water, South West Healthcare, WRAD Health, Brophy Family and Youth Services and Western Victoria Primary Health Network have partnered with The Observership Program to offer a unique opportunity for future leaders to gain unprecedented access and experience to the inner workings of a governance body for 12 months - and gain training from the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Ethics Centre.

We are looking for future leaders who are:

  • Aged between 25 and 40 (up to 45 for those who have experienced career breaks due to caring duties)
  • Interested in Not for Profit / Government sector governance with a view to joining a south west region board in the future.
  • Keen to make a contribution to the NFP and government board sector within the region of south-west Victoria
  • Based within the south-west Victoria region
  • Able to fully participate with support from their employers, to observe a board for a 12 month period, and attend 10 board governance training sessions
