Christmas present leads to a passion for engineering

/ Success Story
WHEN Harry Clark received a welder as a Christmas present, he didn’t realise it would lead him into an engineering apprenticeship.

“Dad bought it for me for Christmas so I tinkered around in the shed with that and have loved it ever since,” he said.

Harry works for Moose Engineering in Hamilton where they produce a wide variety of general fabrication jobs.

“I love the variety. You come to work in the morning not knowing what you’re going to do and it’s really exciting,” he said.

Harry said he loved attending trade school at South West TAFE in Portland and found the teachers and facilities to be fantastic.

“It’s just a really good environment to be in,” he said.

Harry said he was happy to continue developing his skills and see where they would take him in the future.
