COVID-19 Student Update

/ Coronavirus Student Updates
SWTAFE business operations continue in line with current Victorian Government restrictions for the Higher Education sector.
COVID 19 Update

This means upon term 4 commencing, on Monday 4th October, remote learning will continue (unless identified as permitted study and specified below) for all students.

Current COVID+ cases in the Warrnambool area

Given the current situation with a number of COVID+ cases across 4 households in the Warrnambool area, we reiterate this important message from South West Healthcare:

It’s vitally important our communities continue their good COVIDSafe practices of mask wearing, hand sanitising and not receiving visitors in their homes and, most importantly, with the rise in case numbers it’s important to limit your movement in and around our region.

The best protection against COVD is vaccination.  It’s important that people get vaccinated when they can.  To make a booking online visit portal.cvms.vic.gov.au.

Mandatory QR code sign-in at every SWTAFE site

Please continue to sign-in with QR codes when entering any campus building.
We now have a QR code for every building at each campus.  It is of great importance that these are utilised by all students attending a SWTAFE site.

A reminder of what to do if you have you been to an exposure site

Any students that have been to an exposure site should follow the Department of Health guidelines:

TIER 1 Site exposure:

  • Get tested and isolate immediately
  • Quarantine for 14 days

 TIER 2 Site exposure:

  • Get tested and isolate immediately
  • Isolate until negative test received

If you do need to isolate or quarantine please advise your SWTAFE teacher immediately.
