Individual teaching centres also hold annual award ceremonies to recognise the achievements of their students who study at certificate level.

Deakin University Pathways Award
As a valued education partner of South West TAFE, Deakin University offers this award to a South West TAFE Graduate Certificate/Diploma or Diploma graduate.
The award of $1000 is presented to a student who has demonstrated outstanding qualities in preparing themselves to undertake higher studies towards a degree from Deakin University.
Warrnambool East Rotary First Year Apprentice Awards
Each year the Warrnambool East Rotary Club supports a South West TAFE first-year apprentice with a financial award to support them in their studies.
Outstanding Student Awards
Outstanding students in the categories of Apprentice, Trainee, School-based apprentice, Vocational and Koorie are presented each year at the annual Graduation and Awards ceremony. These awards recognise a number of students who have demonstrated outstanding efforts in their relevant course, based on a nomination from teaching staff.
Hair and Beauty Showcase Awards
Presented at the annual Hair and Beauty Awards night, these awards are given to outstanding students from hair, barbering, nail technology, massage and beauty courses.
Trades Awards
The South West TAFE Trades Awards are an annual event that reward and recognise the efforts and dedication of our students in their respective trades throughout their studies. Students from VET DSS and pre-apprentices through to apprentices at all year levels are recognised at these awards in automotive, engineering, electrotechnology, plumbing, cabinet making, and carpentry
