COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus) Student Update 17

/ Coronavirus Student Updates
As more restrictions ease across Victoria, we continue to work to ensure that SWTAFE remains as COVIDSafe as can be.
COVID-19 update

It’s important that we all continue to follow the Victorian Government guidelines and remain vigilant at all times. While this means life still isn’t as normal as we’d all like, it helps us to remain safer and protect those in our community who are more vulnerable.

We are introducing a mandatory sign in/sign out process across SWTAFE

As part of our COVIDSafe approach, we will be implementing a new sign in/sign out process for all students and visitors.

As of Monday 23rd November, students will be required to sign in and sign out via QR code scanning.

This new contactless system provides the ability for swift contact tracing in the event of a confirmed COVID-19 case at one of our campuses.

You will notice that posters containing the QR Code and instructions will be displayed around all campuses and at the entry of each classroom or meeting space.

Follow these simple steps to sign in and sign out when you visit a SWTAFE campus:

  1. Open your camera (or QR Code app) on your phone or device
  2. Scan the QR Code by pointing the camera at it
  3. Tap the banner or message that appears and follow the prompts to complete the sign in process
  4. When you leave please sign out by either scanning the QR Code or selecting the ‘sign out’ button that appeared on your sign in page

Finding study off-site a challenge?

We want to make it as easy as possible for all students to continue their studies, so if you are finding remote learning difficult due to connectivity, issues or you would prefer to utilise our campus facilities, please chat to your teacher about access to on-site computers at any of our campuses.

Please remain COVIDSafe at SWTAFE

The efforts of every Victorian have allowed us to get on top of the virus. It is now crucial that we stay on top of it. This means we must not be complacent. As restrictions ease and more settings reopen we must all continue to embrace COVIDSafe behaviours.

So no letting up.
Let’s keep our masks on.
Keep washing our hands and keeping our distance.
Keep a limit to any gatherings on campus.
Keep catching up outdoors.
Keep getting tested if we have any symptoms.
And keep looking out for each other.

Thanks for playing your part

Let’s stay safe. Thank you for assisting SWTAFE in remaining COVIDSafe. We rely on every individual to play their part as we manage through this challenging time. If you need more info you can go to the Coronavirus Victoria website to find all the latest info.
