"When my gap year plans fell through due to Covid-19, I enrolled in a three-year audio engineering course which had been altered for online delivery.

"I loved that course but wanted to put it on hold to earn some money and learn some new skills, so a traineeship in business was the perfect choice for me," he said.

Dylan gained a position at South West TAFE and said it was great to be able to get a behind-the-scenes look at how a large business operated.

"The course has given me an opportunity to learn new computer, organisational, communication and budgeting skills.

"I love music and once I finish my traineeship I’m hoping to continue my studies in the audio industry," he said.

Dylan said the business course would help with whatever he decided to do in the future.

"It’s been such a great experience and everything I’ve learnt, I’ve been able to put into practice in the workplace immediately," he said.
